OHIO WILLOW WOOD RELEASES UPPER EXTREMITY/PEDIATRIC LOCK

The old adage of good things coming in small packages holds true again! The Mini G-Lock has just been released by Ohio Willow Wood and is the company’s first lock specifically designated for upper extremity and pediatric amputees.

The Mini G-Lock borrows several design aspects from the adult G-Lock which was released by Ohio Willow Wood in late 2004. The size of the lock is less than half that of its namesake; but the Mini G-Lock delivers big suspension, durability and reliability.

Created to be CAD-friendly yet still suitable for traditional fabrication processes, the Mini G-Lock may be used in both exoskeletal and endoskeletal prostheses. The lock’s patient weight limit is 132 pounds.

This new upper extremity/pediatric lock also works seamlessly with Ohio Willow Wood’s new Alpha® Upper Extremity Liner. The Alpha UE Locking Liner features an oval-shaped distal umbrella to better match the upper limb anatomy. The Alpha UE has a uniform, gel pattern and thickness of 3mm and is offered in two fabric options.

The Mini G-Lock is now available as complete packages as well as individual replacement parts. The lock comes with two 38mm pins and a 12-month warranty. The new Alpha UE Liner is also available for shipment.

Ohio Willow Wood, located in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, is an innovative industry leader in the manufacturing and distribution of prosthetic products, including the Alpha® family of liners, the Pathfinder® II foot and the OMEGA® Tracer® CAD system.
